Policies and Guidelines

Registration Policies

Registration and Payment

  • Registration is on a first come, first served basis. You are considered registered when you have paid.  Please pay before the class starts.
  • You may start anytime during the session for classes that have space.  You are welcome to pay drop-in fees or purchase a class card instead of paying for the full session.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Refunds and credits are generally not available for session fees, class cards, or automatic monthly payments.
  • Occasional exceptions might be made due to long term illness or injury.  Any credits / refunds would be based on when you notify me.
  • I will offer refunds or credits if I need to cancel classes.

Drop-in Policy

  • Please come 10 minutes early to pay before class starts.
  • If you are new to Harmony Yoga, please contact me before your first drop-in class.
  • No drop-in option in classes that are full (i.e. some of the Gentle Yoga classes).

Make-up Classes

  • You may make up classes any time during the session that you are registered for. Make-ups don’t carry over to another session.  Don’t worry if you can’t make up a couple classes! In most cases you will still come out ahead compared with the drop-in fees.

Yoga Class  Guidelines

Etiquette

  • Come to class at least 10 minute early. Be prepared to start on time.
  • Please no perfumes or heavily scented products! Many students (and the teacher) are very sensitive to strong scents.
  • Turn off cell phones.  If your phone rings during class, please go turn it off.

Attire

  • Yoga is done with bare feet.
  • Wear comfortable, non-constricting clothing, but nothing baggy, as this obscures alignment and may get in the way of your poses. Avoid bulky jewelry.

Food

  • Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Wait a few hours after a heavy meal, or an hour after a light meal before practicing yoga.

Water

  • Drink plenty of water before and after class.
  • Most people will not need extra water during classes. Drinking water during practice actually cools down the “fiery energy” we need to work well in the poses.
  • For safety issues, please leave water bottles in the entry room or the back room.
